Petrol Prices Rise
Fuel prices rose again in July 2007 by 25 cents/litre for petrol and diesel and 20 cents/litre for paraffin. The general observation was that the slate situation had deteriorated and this increase will only reduce the slate deficit from E6 million to E1 million. A litre of unleaded petrol (ULP 95) increased from E6.35 to E6.60. A litre of 95 LRP (lead replacement petrol) now costs E6.80 from a previous cost of E6.55. Diesel increased by 25 cents to E6.70/litre from E6.45/litre. Paraffin went up by 20 cents/litre from E4.90/litre to E5.10/litre. These prices were effected on the 10th July 2007.
