June 28, 2024The farewell function in honour of Make Dudu Mkhwanazi was short of being dubbed a red carpet event. The glamorous occasion was a direct match and befitting affair of her character. Known for her love for finer things in life, Make Dudu made it a point to give a departing shot that will linger in the minds of her former colleagues forever. Her 35-year tenure at the Bank came to end upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60. During her farewell function held at the CBE Complex on Friday, the Deputy Governor Felicia Dlamini- Kunene described Mkhwanazi as someone who has left a huge void within the Bank, not only in the work front but also in the way she related with her colleagues.
“Make Dudu was someone who took her work seriously, a perfectionist of note who was time cautious and sensitive about the quality of her work. Despite her soft and sparkly side, when it came to her work, she did not appreciate any mishaps or compromise on quality. One aspect that stood out, was that she was well aware of her flaws and took the initiative to ask and seek guidance among her peers when she hit a brick wall,” said the DG.
