The Central Bank of Eswatini would like to warn the public about a fraudulent message that is currently doing the rounds on social media platforms, promising users a mobile device and/or a cheque from the Bank’s Financial Aid Department. The Bank would like to notify the public that there is no such competition and the mentioned department does not exist in the Bank.
The perpetrators of the fraudulent competition have been identified to be in the USA and we assume at this point that joining the competition is meant to attract users to go to illegal sites targeting personal information.

The Bank further encourages the public to be vigilant online as it is possible for fraudsters to copy the look of another official site for their duplicitous gains.
