On the 1st of October 2020, the Central Bank of Eswatini (the Bank) in exercise of the powers bestowed upon it by Section 16 of the Financial Institutions Act, 2005, revoked the commercial banking license issued to Farmers Bank (Pty) Ltd with immediate effect.

The decision of the Bank follows a due enquiry as outlined by Section 16 of the FIA, 2005.

Members of the public are hereby informed that the commercial banking license issued to Farmers Bank (Pty) Ltd on the 17th September 2018 is revoked with effect from the 1st October 2020.
