June 18, 2025The public and our esteemed stakeholders are notified that the Central Bank of Eswatini – Umntsholi WemaSwati, is relocating from Mbabane to its new home in Ezulwini by end of 2025. The new physical address of the Bank is changing to MR103 Main Road, Ezulwini.
The Bank has converted property acquired in 2023 into offices for staff being relocated. In June, the Governor, Executive members, and some departments were successfully moved to Ezulwini.
The relocation follows the cutting of the sod by His Majesty King Mswati III for the construction of a new CBE to the African Union Commission Headquarters in Ezulwini which took place on the Bank’s 50th anniversary celebration on May 10, 2024. Heeding to His Majesty’s “Nkwe” command, the Bank is moving with speed in the construction of Phase 1 of the CBE Complex which consists of an 18‐storey headquarters, data centre, museum, innovation hub and parkade.
Banking hall services
The Banking Hall remains operational in Mbabane for members of the public who may need to access it for exchanging old coins and banknotes, invest in Government bonds and treasury bills, or withdraw their funds.
Delivery services
Bank suppliers are notified that the Mbabane Stores will be available for the delivery of goods until September 2025. Thereafter, all deliveries will be made in Ezulwini Complex.
Existing building in Mbabane
Post the relocation, the Mbabane buildings will be handed over to Government for occupation by the Judiciary and other Government Ministries.
Directions to the CBE Complex
To get to the CBE Complex when travelling by car, you offramp from the Mbabane‐Manzini highway (MR3) to join the MR103 road; go past Ezulwini Corner Plaza and drive straight until you see signage on your left written “Central Bank of Eswatini Complex”. When travelling by a minibus (to Lobamba, Malkerns or nearby areas) you disembark at the bus stop before the MTN / ICC traffic circle.
